Hallmark movies are known for their cheese and their charm. Fans of the channel know that if a holiday exists, Hallmark has a rom-com for it. Many of the stories are about families, but what do the actors’ families look like off-screen? Here are three Hallmark actors who are dads in real life and use their lives as inspiration for their characters.
Andrew Walker Has Two Sons
If you love Hallmark, you probably love Andrew Walker. He’s been in more than 20 of the channel’s movies, and being a real dad even helped him when filming A Dream of Christmas with Nikki DeLoach. They were both new parents and connected over what it was like.
Walker’s off-screen life is equally fulfilling with his wife Cassandra Troy, and their two sons, Wolf and West. Walker often highlights how consistent acting schedules allow him more family time, blending perfectly with his career.
Chris McNally Has a Daughter
What’s better than one Hallmark actor? Two of them! Chris McNally and his wife Julie Gonzalo met on the set of The Sweetest Heart in 2017.
The couple had a daughter together in 2022 and recently starred together in the film 3 Bed, 2 Bath, 1 Ghost. Gonzalo recently talked about what a great dad and partner McNally is.
Cameron Mathison Is a Father of Two
Cameron Mathison didn’t start out as a Hallmark actor. He was actually on a soap opera called All My Children for a long time before joining the Murder She Baked series of movies on Hallmark, which he starred in eight of.
Mathison is married to Vanessa Mathison, and they have two older children, Lucas and Leila. Lucas is now 21 and Leila is 17, and Cameron mentioned how much they mean to him in an Instagram post on Father’s Day 2023.
