If you are looking for a manicure that will be gentler on your nails than acrylics, this new innovative revolution in nail technology is the way to go. Read on to find out more about BIAB nails.
Builder in a Bottle Manicure
BIAB, or Builder in a Bottle, is a trend that’s taking off in a big way. It’s a combination of gel polish and acrylic; it’s stronger than gel and gentler on your nails than acrylic. It can also help with nail growth while strengthening your natural nails.
The founder and manager of BIAB, Giorgia Capella, states that this product creates what is known as the apex structure. This is the natural curve of a nail and, as such, needs more support, which is what this manicure product can provide. It is applied exactly the same as gel polish and then cured under a UV lamp.
Longer Application Process
The only downside with this manicure is that the entire process, from start to finish, takes longer than usual. Also, you find a marked difference in the price. However, the upside to this is that it tends to last longer than gel nails, which eventually evens out the price difference.
BIAB nails have a lifespan of approximately three weeks, so when you’re ready for them to be removed, a nail technician will take them off using acetone and an e-file. This stops the continuous filing of the natural nail, which will eventually become too thin and fragile.
Outperforming Gel Manicures
BIAB nails offer numerous advantages, including superior performance compared to gel nails, nourishment for natural nails, and enhanced strength. This means your nails are getting stronger and looking better.
Even though BIAB does provide healthier nails, you should never pick at them or try to peel them. This will damage your natural nails and strip them of several layers. If you want to look after your natural nails, remember to put on cuticle oil every day and get them redone every few weeks.
