Get ready to impress your guests or family with these tasty potato and bacon roses! This treat is both visually stunning and delicious because the crispy and savory potatoes are seasoned with rosemary and garlic and have neatly wrapped crispy bacon in them. Baked to perfection and served as charming rose shapes, they are as tasty as they are beautiful.
How to Make It
Ingredients:
- 1.3 lb baking potatoes
- 1 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of finely diced fresh rosemary
- 2 cloves of finely grated garlic
- 1/2 tablespoon of salt
- 1/4 tablespoon of black pepper
- 2oz of parmesan
- 6 slices of streaky bacon
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
2. Put plenty of grease in six holes of a muffin tray. In them, you will put each rose.
3. Use a mandolin to cut the potatoes into thin slices, and make sure to discard the ends of the potatoes. Dry the slices with paper towels.
4. Place all the slices you’ve made in a bowl with olive oil, rosemary, and garlic, where you should also add salt and pepper. Distribute everything equally.
5. Put 1/6th of the slices in a row, overlapping by 2/3-3/4 of the previous slice, for about 15 slices. Add 1/6th of parmesan on top of the slices and put a slice of bacon next to them.
6. Wrap the potato slices in the bacon and make sure they’re arranged well. Put them in the muffin tray and fan out the petals to make all the pieces look like roses.
7. Create six roses and place them uncovered in the oven for 20 minutes. At that time, they should be slightly browning on the edges, so take them out, cover them with foil, and put them back in the oven for 35 to 45 minutes until the potatoes are crisp and tender.
8. Remove the roses with a spoon and arrange them for serving.
